He told us what he ate, his life style and his family members. Some of the foods they ate were frog, animal liver, snakes, spiders, rice and anything else they could find in the jungle.
He also mentioned that there was a war in Cambodia that he tried to escape, but in order to escape he had to walk for 3 months to make it to Thailand, with only his own urine to drink!
He didn't just talk about war, food and family though, he also talked about how life in New Zealand is different to Cambodia. One of the questions we asked about was how NZ is different to his home country and which country do you like better, NZ or Cambodia? His answer was NZ because it's not a really poor country and you get paid a lot for doing your job and great education here.
It really made us think listening to Im's amazing story.
